Below are Catrice’s thoughts and recommendations for getting help with depression, anxiety and other mental health issues..
Nothing compares to seeking in person professional help from a licensed and skilled therapist. My first recommendation is to seek professional help and choose a therapist who is highly skilled in the area in which the person is struggling the most. It’s essential to get an accurate and thorough mental health diagnosis. They should check with their employers to see if they have an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) that can help them find the right resources in their community and or provide them. Many cities have local support groups they can attend also. Below are just a few suggestions and resources. In the case where they are feeling suicidal – they should contact the national or local hotline right away and seek immediate attention. Most states and cities have local mental health programs that can assist.
