In a world still reeling from economic shifts, systemic gaps, and cultural disconnection, one woman is reimagining how we connect, how we care, and how we create.
We’re proud to announce the July 2025 recipient of the This Woman Knows Microgrant—a $500 award granted to a woman whose vision is both bold and deeply grounded in community healing.
🎉 $500 Grant Recipient: In Podcast Mode
Founder: T. Francis
Website: inpodcastmode.com
In Podcast Mode is not a podcast—it’s a beautifully designed conversational card game that invites connection, reflection, and real talk. Whether around the dinner table, in a team meeting, or on the couch with a friend, this creative tool helps people show up as their full selves.
T. Francis plans to use part of the grant to hire a virtual assistant to build a segmented outreach spreadsheet of podcasters and game stores—laying the groundwork for pre-orders and future partnerships. The remaining funds will support her travel to the Podcast Summit, where she’ll capture content, build face-to-face relationships, and connect with over 100 potential users and ambassadors.
After receiving the news, T. Francis shared:
“This grant revitalized me—after receiving so many No’s, getting a YES means everything.”
She also expressed deep appreciation for the Intimate Conversation podcast, noting that Episode 10 helped her begin to break free from limiting beliefs:
“The timing couldn’t have been more aligned.”
“In Podcast Mode embodies the spirit of creative innovation we aim to uplift—grounded, intentional, and soul-deep,” says TWK founder Lisa N. Alexander. “You’re not just designing a game; you’re creating moments of truth, connection, and presence in a distracted world. We are honored to support this kind of sacred play.”
Why This Matters
August is both Black Business Month and Black Philanthropy Month—a time to reflect on how we circulate power, resources, and opportunity, especially in communities that have historically been overlooked. At This Woman Knows, we believe that funding doesn’t have to be complicated or performative. Sometimes, a few hundred dollars is all it takes to accelerate an idea, stabilize a mission, or say, “I believe in you.”
We’re building a movement that prioritizes clarity, integrity, and joy—and we’re proud to support women whose work reflects those same values.
💫 Congratulations, T. Francis. May your work ripple outward in ways even you can’t yet imagine.
