season-9-cast

Love them or hate them, unfortunately most people miss the value that this family brings to the table.

From the business savvy and Mom-ager role of Kris Jenner to the beauty and brains (well some may question “brains”) of her children, Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian Odom, Kourtney Kardashian, Kylie and Kendal Jenner, this family gets the attention of the world, whether they want to be giving them attention or not!

I don’t know if you share my sentiments, but every time I turn around a Kardashian is there.

Watching Keeping Up With The Kardashian’s is one of those things I usually don’t tell people I do (oops, I guess the cat’s out of the bag now) because it usually results in a side eye with an eyebrow raised.  However, I get much out of watching this program in terms of understanding how people need to be connected with and coached through their challenges and issues.

You see the truth is, whether you want to believe it or not, every family and every person in a family, deals with some type of dysfunction, challenge or issue.  What I realize about the Kardashian family is that there is almost every known dysfunction in one place; from divorce, to sexual orientation to substance abuse, to pure confusion… it’s pretty much all there.  They are the perfect case study for those who desire to understand the human psyche and/or family and human development, and I say this in the most loving way with no judgment or condemnation.

Whatever your thoughts are about them, as I study them I have discovered that they truly value the connection of family and, at the end of the day, are willing to stick it out, duke it out or cuss it out through thick and thin. I must say that as a big believer in the importance of family connections, I totally respect that.

They value hard work as well. They are a family of ambitious, successful, strong and focused (most of the time) women.

Kim Kardashian 2(1)They break down, they cry, they hurt, they struggle, but they have learned how to get up, dust themselves off, put on some spanks and move on, no matter what others have to say about them.  As much as they are talked about, they realize that what others say about them doesn’t matter, that they will be WHO they are and WHAT they are in spite of.  They truly show what strength, determination, love, togetherness and support looks like. Qualities that all women possess and all women should share with other women.

Watching their life and challenges can make one totally appreciate, and be grateful for, what they have (or don’t have) in their own life. But love them or hate them, if we would take the time to appreciate what they allow us to see by opening their lives and their dysfunctions up to us, we could learn to be better women.

The blessing and the curse are the exact same thing… our perception of the thing determines how we hold it and what we hold it to be.

Remember, what you see you will speak and what you speak you will see.  When we curse, despise and criticize others we send a message to the Universe that that treatment and behavior is acceptable to us, and the world will give back to us that which we give to others.

What you want to reap, be sure to sow and what you don’t want to bring about (to yourself), don’t think about or talk about.

Love and light…
