The Church Girlz With Curlz is hosting its third conference and this time it’s all about Freedom.

This year’s conference has a great lineup of speakers, workshops, musical guests and even includes a hair and fashion runway show along with a Mother’s Day Brunch.
So Why Another Conference?
For the sake of community, shared experiences and appreciation for the hair that grows out of our scalps in all of its kinky, curly, coily wonder. I think the majority of women at some point have a love/hate relationship with their hair but a Black woman’s hair is often seen as a horrible mistake. Something that must be brought into submission in order to fit European styles of beauty. So this conference is a celebration of that kinky, coily, wonder. This event allows you to test new product and see what’s possible. And one vendor, Karess the Stylist, is even offering free styling to the woman who wants to undergo her Big Chop (cutting off all relaxed/processed hair down to her natural roots). What’s In Store This Year?
Lots.
Yes, there will be opportunities to shop and purchase great products and gifts (it is Mother’s Day weekend) but there will also be great speakers and artists to lift and encourage your spirit. Jessica Holloway will also be presenting on how to get and keep that body right!

A special Mother’s Day Brunch catered by Chef Feleshia of Cater2U and conference host, Kandice Ewing will be speaking.
The conference will be held at the Fellowship of Love Church, 10223 Clodine Rd, Richmond, TX 77407.
